Here's the unofficial results from the two days of swimming at the Oamaru Aquatic Centre.<br />

Congratulations to Steve Prescott who set a couple of new records!  When the results have been verified, we'll let you know which ones!<br />

<br />
Steve's new records shaved considerable margins from the previous records, some of which were set as far back as 1994.  The new records in the 55-59y agegroup are:<br />
<br />
100m Freestyle 58.89; 200m Freestyle 2:08.21; 400m Freestyle 4:32.95; 800m Freestyle 9:33.00; 1500m Freestyle 17:58.95<br />
<br />
Steve was also a member of the Mens 4x50m Freestyle relay along with Richard Jongens, Peter Graham and Stephen Clarke who collectively set a new record of 1:53.04 for the 200-239y agegroup.<br />
<br />
Steve trains daily at Moana Pool alongside other Dunedin Masters Swimming Club members who will be partaking in the World Masters Games in Sydney in October this year.]]></description></item><item><link>http://www.dunedinmastersswimming.org.nz/news.php</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.dunedinmastersswimming.org.nz/news.php?id=3</guid><title>Burglar of the Meet to DMSC member</title><pubDate>Wed, 01 Jul 2009 20:52:57 +1200</pubDate><description xml:space="preserve"><![CDATA[Masters is not just about competitiveness!  Well, not serious competitiveness anyway.  The "Burglar of the Meet" award was won by the Dunedin Masters Swimming Club's own Steve Clarke.<br />
<br />
The "Burglar of the Meet" trophy is awarded to the competitor who shaves the most off his seed time at a meet.<br />
<br />
Steve is keen not to relinquish the trophy at the next meet, and is currently planning his next meet strategy in order to hold on to the trophy that will be adorning his mantelpiece for the next months.]]></description></item><item><link>http://www.dunedinmastersswimming.org.nz/news.php</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.dunedinmastersswimming.org.nz/news.php?id=4</guid><title>World Masters Games Team</title><pubDate>Wed, 07 Oct 2009 09:55:00 +1300</pubDate><description xml:space="preserve"><![CDATA[Three days to go until a team of nine competitors heads to Sydney to take on the world at the 2009 World Masters Games.  The games has attracted 1962 swimmers from 44 countries, that will compete from the 10th-16th of October at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.<br />
<br />
The team consists of Giulia Airoldi, Steve Clarke, Kieran Garbutt, Peter Graham, Morris Hall, Mark Johnston, Richard Jongens, Ann McCulloch and Steve Prescott.<br />
