Steve's new records shaved considerable margins from the previous records, some of which were set as far back as 1994. The new records in the 55-59y agegroup are:

100m Freestyle 58.89; 200m Freestyle 2:08.21; 400m Freestyle 4:32.95; 800m Freestyle 9:33.00; 1500m Freestyle 17:58.95

Steve was also a member of the Mens 4x50m Freestyle relay along with Richard Jongens, Peter Graham and Stephen Clarke who collectively set a new record of 1:53.04 for the 200-239y agegroup.

The "Burglar of the Meet" trophy is awarded to the competitor who shaves the most off his seed time at a meet.
